Ficdom is a fanfiction website dedicated to host stories for all readers and authors alike to enjoy. While we are constructing the website, we discovered the need to have authors, readers, and staffs to communicate and interact with each other inside and outside of their circles. Thus, Ficdom forum was born!
Ficdom forum is solely dedicated to increase the efficiency of the staff capturing the demands of the authors and readers. All policies of Ficdom can be found here. You can also speak out your opinions about the site, file tickets about bugs, abuses of power, and negligence of duty, and provide suggestions to make Ficdom serves its visitors better! Please note that we will never delete, modify any of your posts created here so long as they are meaningful. Rest assured if you want to speak out against a staff member, feel free to do so. This forum logs all the changes made by every moderators and administrators of this website, and we can easily track down the actions taken by any one of the staff. There will be almost no administrators and moderators and this is to protect your posts as much as possible. On the other hand, please take note illegal activities against a particular moderator or admin, such as libel and slander, are not permitted.
Ficdom website has several user groups: authors, board members, story administrators, and story moderators. They are assigned by their position in Ficdom. “Authors” user group is moderated by the writer’s representative, and all authors are able to join that user group. Note that if you are not an author of Ficdom, the writer’s representative reserves the right to remove you from this user group. “Story Moderators” are people who help out the “Story Administrators” in carrying out policies made by the “Board Members”. The board members are selected, mostly by the opinion of the visitors, to create the general policies of Ficdom. Please note board members have no power to carry out daily managements, while story administrators have no power to carry out site-wide changes.
This forum is divided in several categories. The general category is where the authors and readers would probably spend most of their time on. It contains discussion about the site in general, requests about a certain feature/category/character, and participates in the polls. They can also create their own topics about anything related to Ficdom in this category.
Policy Discussions category is a place where the board members and administrators can place their policies. It also hosts policies that are currently in discussion. Anyone is welcome to suggest a new policy in Policy Discussion section of the category also. Note that policies must be published here in at least one (1) day advance before it can be enforced. This is to prevent policy making abuse.
Story Report category is where anyone can report a story that violates a particular rule (or rules) of the website. Someone can report a general pattern of misbehavior also if they do not want to report a particular story (stories).
And finally, we have the Group Restricted category. This is where the board members, administrators, and moderators can interact within their own circle and among the circles.
